Traditional apple cobbler has a biscuit-like topping. Of course, I wanted to take it a step further. Since monkey bread is made of biscuit dough, covered in butter and cinnamon-sugar, I figured making it the topping would be the perfect way to elevate this apple cobbler!

FAQS:
How do I store this apple cobbler?
I recommend storing leftovers in an airtight container and microwaving to reheat!
Can this be made ahead of time?
I don’t recommend doing so. It’s so easy to make this recipe quickly, however, if you wanted to prepare the apples a couple hours ahead here’s what I recommend: Peel, core and slice the apples then toss them in the lemon juice and place them in the refrigerator. The lemon juice will prevent browning.
What drink or side should I enjoy with this?
I’d recommend enjoying with a cup of coffee or milk. It is best to top this cobbler with whipped cream or ice cream!
Can this recipe be gluten-free/vegan or can any of the ingredients be substituted for other dietary restrictions?
Unfortunately, it is not my specialty. However, there are many bloggers who specialize in gluten-free, vegan, nut-free, dairy-free, etc. desserts and I recommend giving them a try!
